Villa Azur Donates £50,000 of Food to those Affected by Hurricane Irma

Villa Azur, a Miami-based club best known for hosting celebrities at its incredible parties, has donated £50,000 worth of food to those affected by Hurricane Irma, as reported in the Miami Herald. Villa Azur, which is part of C&C Alpha Group’s Shanti Hospitality Group, was contemplating having to get rid of the food after continued power shortages following Irma. But, Miami Commissioner, Ken Russell heard about it connected the owner of the Mediterranean-inspired Villa Azur to a pair of Coconut Grove neighbors who regularly barbecue in the neighborhood and mounted a Michelin-star-style cookout. About 400 neighbors, most of whom live in the nearby Kingsway Apartments on Charles Terrace that many simply refer to as “the projects,” lined up at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.
