Megalith Capital Management and Urban Realty Partners announced an agreement with Stellar International Art Foundation for a fine art exhibit to be showcased in the lobby of 200 Water Street in Dumbo, as reported by Real Estate Weekly.
The piece that will be displayed is Blue for No Reason, a 2005 painting by artist Damien Hirst featuring butterflies and household gloss on canvas.
“200 Water Street pays tribute to its rich history through the use of brick, concrete and steel and we are pleased to be supplementing this unique experience with celebrated artwork that future residents will have the chance to appreciate,” said Sam Sidhu, CEO and founder of Megalith.
“The ceiling of the lobby reaches 14 feet, making it an ideal location to display such a magnificent painting.”
Stellar International Art Foundation features the private collection of the Choudhrie family, based in London and New Delhi.
The Foundation comprises more than 600 works dating from the late 19th century to the present day, including international artists and ranging from paintings to sculptures.
Born in 1965, Hirst is an English artist and prominent member of Young British Artists, a group dominating the art scene in the 1990s. He was awarded the Turner Prize in 1995.
